Dr. Paayal Bhakta attended the University of Florida for undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Spanish and currently holds a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. She continued her education, earning her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Bhakta is an avid learner and fan of education, and has pursued additional dental education, completing a 2-year comprehensive dentistry program and 13-month executive practice management course at the University of Florida.
Dr. Bhakta is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. During her dental career, she has traveled internationally several times to perform outreach dentistry in under-served villages. She continues to help those with limited access to dental care throughout Florida with organizations such as Dentistry from the Heart, Mission of Mercy, Gainesville Community Ministries and the ACORN Dental Clinic.
While in dental school, Dr. Bhakta met her husband, also a practicing dentist in the area, and together they have four beautiful, energetic children. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking for her family as well as running, crocheting, and reading.

Walked in with an emergency situation first think Friday morning. They had a full slate of patients but bent over backward to work me in. Not only that but when I needed specialist help that they were unable to handle that day they arranged for me to be worked in elsewhere. Staff was more than friendly to say the least.
