First-time Patients

With a focus on customer service and individualized care, we want to know more about our patients and what our team can do to transform first-time visitors into returning patients. Because customer care begins before you even walk through the door, our friendly office staff is prepared to answer your questions over the telephone and make appointments that fit your schedule.

We understand that you are busy, so we make new patient forms available to download on our website. If you would like to complete these forms ahead of time, please print these documents and bring them with you to your first appointment or fill them out and send them electronically. Of course, you are also welcome to arrive 15 minutes early and fill them out at our Gainesville office. Our staff will be glad to answer questions you have about the new patient forms.

Your first appointment with us at Tioga Dental & Orthodontics is an important time for us to build a relationship of trust with you. To help our patients achieve optimum health, we practice individualized care. A dental examination is the perfect way for Dr. Cynthia Brush and her team of professionals to get to know you and your unique oral health needs. Dental checkups allow our professional staff to more completely understand your situation and recommend appropriate services to keep you healthy.

Dr. Brush, Dr. Potter or Dr. Forrest will start the dental examination by addressing your questions and concerns with compassionate and knowledgeable answers. Because we know that knowledge is power, especially when it involves making decisions about your health, we have invested in diagnostic equipment that allows our patients to see what we see. Digital X-rays can be viewed on a chairside monitor so that we can illustrate the diagnosis to the patient. Digital radiography gives us a chance to see the interior of the teeth to reveal weak spots or deep decay, but X-rays are just one way Dr. Brush and her team will assess your oral health. We also check for Gum Disease, examine bite alignment, and screen for Oral Cancer as well as many other oral health issues.

Dental examinations on your first visit are vital to discover problems that must be treated quickly to avoid progressive damage to your oral health. If your first visit is because of a specific dental issue, Dr. Brush or one of our other dentists can assess the problem and develop a treatment plan with you. Our team will be glad to answer your questions, help you feel more comfortable, or decide on a dental cleaning schedule that works for you. We can’t wait to meet you and begin earning your trust.

We accept many dental insurance plans, so contact our office to find out if we are a provider for your plan. We are always happy to help you with filing insurance claims. Remember to bring your insurance card with you to every appointment and let us know if your coverage changes.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. If you are facing a large treatment plan and require financing, we offer CareCredit and several other financing plans to help you pay for your procedures. Applying for financing takes just minutes. Our ever-growing and compassionate practice is always exploring ways to help patients pay for necessary dental treatments, so check with our office to learn about other financing plans we may offer.
